Hey, my first post! My only memories of LiveJournal were finding fanfiction hosted on it I could find nowhere else, so this is a pretty new format to me. I'm mostly accustomed to Tumblr for blogging, so it'll be fun to see how I adapt to this medium.
Something about this site makes it very easy for me to ramble. I had only meant to make a short, one-sentence post that asked if anyone knew any cool people to add to my circle (is that the lingo here?).
Will probably make a proper introductory post as some point, but I'm exhausted from a long day at the hospital and then multiple hours' baking.

When I'm looking for people or comms to follow I usually go to the profiles of the people I subscribe to and see who they subscribe to and what comms they belong to and snoop those journals to see if I want to follow them. You can also search journals/comms by interest which is neat
Oh, and you can also subscribe to RSS feeds to have stuff from those pop up on your reading page. The feeds aren't users so there isnt much for interaction but a lot of them are daily things that give you something to read when people arent posting much.
This place is a lot slower paced than tumblr (which I think is nice) and it doesn't have the bazillion of active users, and no reblogs or likes means you have to work a little harder to curate your reading page... but I like it here and hope you will too!
